The Can-SOLVE CKD Network seeks to fill the senior leadership volunteer position of Knowledge User/Knowledge Translation Committee Co-Chair for the term January 2020-March 2022 (with the possibility of extension).
The Co-Chair role will support Can-SOLVE CKD research projects and a broad range of activities across the network aimed at accelerating the translation of knowledge about chronic kidney disease into clinical research, evidence-based practice and policy. (See Committee Terms of Reference for more information)
The Co-Chair will provide leadership, strategic guidance, and support to the Can-SOLVE CKD leadership team, researchers, patient partners, and stakeholders to advance the network’s knowledge translation goals and objectives. (See Knowledge Translation Framework for more information)
The existing Knowledge User/Knowledge Translation Committee has been led by two experienced Co-Chairs and Knowledge Translation Broker since 2016. We wish to thank outgoing Co-Chair Rebecca Harvey for her many contributions to the KU/KT Committee and the Can-SOLVE CKD Network as a whole. The committee’s members have unique knowledge translation expertise in adult and pediatric nephrology as well as diverse skills and experience derived from their roles as patient partners, policy-makers, and service providers. Many of the committee’s members are connected to local, regional, and national kidney health organizations in their personal and/or professional capacities.
The Knowledge User/Knowledge Translation Committee meets via teleconference approximately once per quarter with the possibility of in-person meetings at the discretion of the Co-Chairs. The Co-Chairs report to the Can-SOLVE CKD Steering Committee.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to contact Heather Harris (email@example.com) outlining their interest in the role and any relevant skills and experience. Submissions will be accepted until Wednesday, December 18.
