We are pleased to highlight a new publication entitled “Understanding of Adults With Chronic Kidney Disease and Their Caregivers’ Self-Management Experiences: A Qualitative Study Using the Theoretical Domains Framework”. This new publication featured in the Canadian Journal of Kidney Health and Disease is related to our Can-SOLVE CKD project 3.2 – Strategies to enhance patient self-management. This research project aims to understand how we can empower patients to self-manage their chronic kidney disease to improve disease progression and overall patient experience and well-being.
Emergent themes from this newly published manuscript highlight participants’ interpretation of being diagnosed with CKD, their motivations, feelings, values, and altered identity. This work will inform the codesign of a behavior change intervention to enhance patient self-management of CKD.
