Dr. York Pei awarded international PKD research prize

Congratulations to Dr. York Pei on receiving the 2019 Lillian Jean Kaplan International Prize for Advancement in the Understanding of Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD)!

The award is presented every two years by the PKD Foundation to recognize an individual whose scientific work has contributed to improving knowledge and treatment of PKD. Dr. Pei, who leads two Can-SOLVE CKD research projects investigating PKD, received the award earlier this month at the World Congress of Nephrology in Melbourne, Australia.

Dr. Pei is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto and a Staff Nephrologist at the Toronto General Hospital, University Health Network, where he currently directs the Hereditary Kidney Disease Clinic.
